  I painted this calligraphy piece during the 2024 War on Lebanon. It quotes a poetic verse from the famous Palestinian poet, Mahmoud Darwish
  
  “Stand at the edge of dream and fight
  قف على ناصية الحلم و قاتلْ“ [qif ‘ala nasiyati elhulm wa qatil]
  
  This verse carried such a resonating message during hard times. Even though I’m based in the UK, my family are all back in Lebanon. With every bombing of Beirut and the South of Lebanon, I was mentally there with my loved ones, sharing the fear, anxiety, uncertainty, and above all, resilience. Despite it all, life goes on, Beirut burns, then rises again, and so do we.
